Discover what sends your skin into a spin! There are some common factors that are known to trigger skin changes.

Stay in control of your skin with these tips:

Hydration: Dehydration is a huge cause. I know you’re tired of hearing your body is made up mostly water and yadda yadda. But it is true, I know you KNOW to drink water, maybe you just have a hard time remembering to, or you’re tired of running to the bathroom every 10 minutes. You need to train your bladder, so start slow...don’t chug a whole bottle in 30 seconds. Keep a larger bottle with you, some people line their bottle with times, set reminders on their phone, do what will work for you!

Diet: Dairy can be the biggest trigger to getting a breakout! So can processed sugary foods, processed carbs, fried foods, etc. Try an elimination diet if you are not sure and cut out all the bad stuff for 4 weeks and slowly introduce foods. Some people go fully vegan and swear it has changed their health, skin and well being. BUT, some people don’t want to do that. So overall, just try to eat as healthy as possible! Keep up with your green veggies ;)

Let your skin breathe: Do you layer your foundation on like a 8 tier cake? You don’t need to wear makeup everyday, 10 hours a day, around the clock. Washing your face before bed is a must, but don’t wash your face more than twice a day because you’ll be stripping the natural oils and making your skin more dry.

Get the right products: Please stop rubbing a bunch of different new hype products on your face. A small percentage of people can do that without it ever affecting their skin, the rest of us need to look carefully at the ingredients in our products. The hair products you use could also be making you break out. Process of elimination with this one too!

Sleep: Beauty sleep really has some truth to it! Your organs needs to rest, recover and heal overnight to function the best the following day. Sleeping and waking up at around the same time everyday helps your body get used to a habit. You need at least 7-9 hours of sleep every night!

Cleanliness: Wash your pillowcases and towels frequently, they are touching your face! Wash your gym clothes too, ya stink bomb.
